FROM CLARITY TO ACTION
Marketing and creative without a clear purpose aren’t investments—they’re guesswork, and guesswork rarely delivers meaningful results.
Get clear, unbiased guidance on where your business stands, where you want it to go, and what it will actually take to get there. Together, we’ll identify the creative assets, marketing strategies, and media investments that make sense—and just as importantly, the ones that don’t.

Good marketing starts with knowing what you’re trying to accomplish before deciding how to accomplish it. Marketing strategy and planning takes a clear look at your business, customers, competition, goals and resources to create a practical path forward. Whether you need a comprehensive marketing plan or simply need to figure out what comes next, the goal is the same: make deliberate decisions instead of spending money and hoping something works.
-
Your brand is more than your logo—it’s the impression people carry with them after encountering your business. Brand strategy brings your visuals, voice, values, customer experience and market position together into something recognizable and consistent. Whether you’re building a new brand or wondering if an existing one still represents who you are, we can identify what should stay, what should evolve and how to make the whole thing work together.
-
A strong campaign connects the right message, audience, creative and media around a specific goal. From a new product or service to an event, promotion or broader awareness campaign, we can develop the concept and build the pieces needed to support it. Most importantly, we start by defining what success is supposed to look like—because “we ran some ads” isn’t a particularly useful measure of success.
-
Not every business needs—or wants—a full-time marketing professional on staff. Marketing support gives you experienced help when and where you need it, whether that’s a few hours of guidance, help completing a project or ongoing assistance with your marketing efforts. You get access to professional experience without creating another permanent position, and you decide how much support makes sense for your business.
-
Sometimes the smartest first step isn’t creating something new—it’s understanding what you already have. A marketing and advertising audit takes an objective look at your current strategy, spending, messaging, creative, media and customer touchpoints to identify what’s working, what isn’t and where opportunities may be hiding. The result is a clearer picture of where your marketing stands before you decide where to spend another dollar.
-
Radio, television, print, digital, outdoor and other media can all have value—but that doesn’t mean every media proposal is a good investment for your business. An independent media review examines what you’re being offered, who it actually reaches, how it fits your goals and whether the investment makes sense. Think of it as having someone on your side of the table who understands both marketing and the media being sold to you.
-
Clicks, impressions, views and engagement numbers can look impressive without telling you much about whether a campaign actually helped your business. Campaign performance analysis looks beyond the headline metrics to understand what happened, what you learned and whether the results justified the investment. From there, we can identify what deserves more attention, what needs adjustment and what may simply not be worth repeating.
-
Marketing proposals can be difficult to compare—especially when every vendor has a different solution, pricing structure and collection of impressive-looking numbers. Vendor and proposal review gives you an experienced, independent perspective before you sign. We’ll look at what’s being promised, what you’re actually receiving, how the pricing stacks up and whether the proposal makes sense for your goals. You still make the decision; you just make it with better information.
-
Good design should do more than look good—it should communicate something. From advertisements, brochures and signage to event materials, digital graphics and branded collateral, graphic and art design combines creativity with a clear business purpose. The goal is work that catches attention, feels like your brand and helps your audience understand exactly what you want them to know.
-
The right image can communicate more in a few seconds than a paragraph ever could. Photography and image development can include original photography, image selection, retouching, compositing and creative development for advertising, websites, social media and other marketing materials. Rather than relying on whatever stock image happens to be available, we can create visuals that actually belong to your business and your story.
-
People want to see the people and places behind the businesses they work with. Commercial photography provides professional portraits, environmental images, team photography and other original imagery designed specifically for business use. Whether you need an executive portrait, photographs of your staff or a library of images for your website and marketing, the result should feel polished and professional without making your business look like it was assembled from stock photos.
-
Great placement can’t rescue an ad nobody notices—or one nobody understands. Advertising creative brings together concept, design, imagery, copy and calls to action to create advertising that earns attention and communicates quickly. Whether the final product is digital, print, outdoor, broadcast or something entirely different, the creative is developed around the audience and objective rather than simply filling the available space.
-
Branded merchandise can be a great way to promote your organization, reward employees, support an event or simply put your brand into the world—but there’s a lot of forgettable swag out there. We can help develop merchandise people might actually want to keep, from concept and artwork through vendor selection and ordering. The goal is to find the right product, at the right quality and quantity, without turning your storage room into a retirement home for 600 unwanted stress balls.
-
Video gives businesses the opportunity to show rather than simply tell. From short social and advertising content to interviews, testimonials, informational pieces and longer-form productions, video production can include concept development, planning, shooting, editing, graphics and final delivery. The scale of the production should fit the purpose—sometimes you need polished and cinematic, and sometimes you simply need a good story told well.
-
Knowing what you want to say and knowing how to say it are two different things. Copywriting and messaging turns your ideas into clear, engaging language for advertising, websites, brochures, emails, presentations and other communications. The goal isn’t to make your business sound like a marketing department wrote it—it’s to make you sound like the best, clearest version of yourself.
-
Being on social media and having a social media strategy aren’t the same thing. We can help determine which platforms actually matter to your audience, what kind of content belongs there and how social media fits into your larger marketing efforts. From planning and content development to graphics, photography and messaging, the focus is on being useful and intentional—not posting simply because someone said businesses are supposed to.
-
Your existing customers are often one of your most valuable marketing resources—and one of the easiest to overlook. Email and customer marketing helps you stay connected through newsletters, promotions, reminders, educational content, customer reactivation and targeted campaigns built around real business goals. We can help develop the strategy, messaging and creative needed to keep your business relevant without becoming another source of inbox clutter. The goal isn’t to email people more often—it’s to give them a good reason to open it when you do.
-
Your website is often where customers decide whether everything else they’ve heard about your business adds up. Website content and creative direction helps organize what your site needs to say, how it should say it and how the overall experience should represent your brand. From page structure and messaging to imagery and calls to action, we can help make sure your website isn’t merely attractive—it’s useful.
-
IBusinesses communicate constantly—with customers, employees, partners and the community—and those messages shape how people perceive the organization. We can help develop everything from customer announcements and internal communications to letters, presentations and sensitive messaging. When the message matters, the goal is to communicate clearly, sound human and make sure what you intended to say is actually what people hear.
-
Community involvement can build tremendous goodwill and brand recognition when there’s a genuine connection between the business, the organization and the people being served. We can help evaluate sponsorship opportunities, develop community partnerships and decide where your time, money and resources can have meaningful impact. It isn’t about putting your logo on everything that asks for a check—it’s about finding opportunities where supporting your community and strengthening your business naturally intersect.
RATES
Straightforward Pricing. No Surprises.
At Crow & Compass Creative, we believe pricing should be as straightforward as the advice we give. That’s why we charge one professional rate across all of our services. If we start by reviewing your marketing strategy and discover that your website messaging needs attention, your social media needs a new direction, or the advertising proposal sitting on your desk deserves a closer look, we can pivot without changing the conversation—or the rate. Strategy, consulting, graphic design, campaign development, photography, copywriting, media analysis and the rest of our professional services all operate under the same simple structure. You’re hiring Crow & Compass for our time, experience and expertise, not navigating a menu where every new idea comes with another price tag.
Just as importantly, we don’t make money from the media or vendors we recommend. Any outside expenses—advertising purchases, printing, merchandise, media placement or other third-party costs—are paid by you directly to the provider whenever practical. That keeps our interests exactly where they belong: aligned with yours. There are no commissions or kickbacks influencing whether we recommend one solution over another. Our job is to tell you what we believe makes sense for your business, including when we think something isn’t worth buying. You control the budget, you approve the work, and you always have the final say. It’s your business. That’s exactly how it should be.
Our standard professional rate is $110 per hour, regardless of which Crow & Compass service we’re providing. For individual projects, we’ll provide a good-faith estimate of the time we expect the work to require before getting started. If circumstances change or a project begins moving beyond that estimate, we’ll talk about it rather than simply letting the meter run. You should have enough information to decide whether the juice is worth the squeeze before making the investment.
Need More? Pay Less.
For businesses that need ongoing support, Crow & Compass offers discounted retainer rates. Commit to a minimum three-month relationship, select the amount of time you’d like available each month, and pay monthly in advance. The more time you reserve, the lower your hourly rate:
10 hours per month — $105/hour
15 hours per month — $100/hour
20 hours per month — $95/hour
30+ hours per month — $90/hour
A retainer gives you ongoing access to Crow & Compass at a reduced rate while allowing us to become more familiar with your business, your customers and your goals over time. And because the same rate applies across our services, those hours can go where they’re most useful. One month that might mean campaign strategy and graphic design; the next it might mean photography, customer communications and reviewing a media proposal. The direction can change without having to renegotiate the relationship every time it does.
No mysterious packages. No percentage of your media spend. No incentive to recommend something simply because somebody else is paying us to recommend it.
Just experienced, independent professional help at a rate you know before we get to work.
